Construction Based Trades Academy, Inc. (CBTA) headquartered in Shaker Heights, Ohio was founded in January 2015 as a 501(c)3 organization. CBTA is governed by a 5-member board of directors that includes a variety of community members with more than 20 years of experience. CBTA participants must be 18 years old to begin the program. CBTA does not guarantee employment, rather provides access to career opportunities. Contractors should be aware that program graduates may be seeking job opportunities with access to public transportation until they acquire funds to secure a vehicle. All CBTA graduates understand that gaining transportation is a priority in order to sustain employment.
